We cover the whole process in house: gear design, hobbing, grinding, CNC machining, gearbox assembly, and quality inspection. Single-piece prototypes through high-volume OEM production.
CBN and conventional grinding of spur and helical gears to AGMA 15. Grinding to 700mm diameter. Hofler Helix 700, Reishauer RZ701/RZ300E, and Liebherr LCS 282 platforms. Tight tolerance tooth geometry with certified surface finish.
Gear Grinding Details →Finish hobbing to 1000mm diameter. Spur, helical, worm gear, spline, sprocket, and serration tooth forms. Mitsubishi GE20A, Gleason Phoenix 400GH, Liebherr LC 902, and Pfauter P1000 CNC hobbers. Single-piece to high-volume.
Gear Manufacturing →Integrated gearbox manufacturing and mechanical sub-assemblies built to print. We deliver the complete unit, so you're not coordinating multiple suppliers, and we handle the tight tolerance stack-ups and clearance checks demanding applications call for.
Assembly Capabilities →3-axis CNC turning and 4-axis CNC milling, plus a Feeler VMP-1100 5-axis CNC machining center and Matsuura machining centers. Nakamura-Tome and Doosan turning platforms. Complete gear blank preparation, bore work, keyways, and secondary features in-house.
View Equipment →Replacement of obsolete and legacy gears. CMM measurement, 3D scanning, and precise re-creation from physical samples. Full documentation provided. Support industrial customers with critical equipment where original sources are unavailable.
Reverse Engineering →Zeiss Contura G2 CMM, M&M and Penta analytical gear inspection machines, 3× Vari-Roll ultra-precision gear checkers, Federal Formscan cylindricity checker, Rockwell and micro-hardness testing. All gears inspected and certified.
Quality Details →INSCO provides a comprehensive range of complementary machining and finishing operations, enabling complete gear components to be produced and inspected in a single facility.
Single-sourcing a complete geared assembly to INSCO saves you the work of pulling it together yourself. We make the gearing, and we also specify and procure the castings, shafts, seals, bearings, and even the motors and electronic components, then build and test the finished unit.
You get an assembly that's been tested and proven as a system, not a box of parts gathered from several suppliers. Our 6,000-square-foot assembly area builds gearboxes of all sizes and volumes, and we've been doing planetary, parallel-axis, and right-angle gearbox work for decades.
The same goes for complete drivetrain assemblies: the multi-stage gear trains, shafts, and bearings that route torque through a machine. We produce the precision gearing, assemble it with the supporting components, and verify gear mesh, clearances, and performance before the unit ships. It works well for customers who want one source accountable for the whole power-transmission package instead of juggling gears, shafts, and assembly across several vendors.
