Helical gears offer significant performance advantages over spur gears: the angled tooth engagement produces gradual tooth loading, smoother meshing, lower noise, and higher load-carrying capacity for a given gear size.
We make external helical gears by hobbing and precision grinding. Controlled helix angle, tight involute profile and lead tolerances, and a fine surface finish give you helical gears with very low transmission error, which is what robotic actuators, servo gearboxes, and precision motion systems need.
